Attorney at Law
Tracy Spriggs Barr was admitted to the Maryland Bar in December 2000, and to the Virginia Bar in April 2001. Mrs. Barr attended Virginia Tech, where she majored in Biology. After undergraduate school, Mrs. Barr worked for five years as a Biologist in a genetic research laboratory in Rockville, Maryland.
Mrs. Barr then received a Masters of Science from Hood College in Environmental Science and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law (with honors), earning a concentration in Environmental Law.
While in law school, Mrs. Barr served as an Associate Editor of the Maryland Law Review and was a board member of the Environmental Law Society. Mrs. Barr completed an internship at the Environmental Protection Agency and worked for a summer at Piper & Marbury, L.L.C.
After law school, Mrs. Barr returned to her hometown of Leesburg, Virginia to engage in the general practice of law. Her areas of concentration include civil litigation, land use practices, bankruptcy and estate planning.
Mrs. Barr is married to Stuart Barr, a land use attorney in Maryland and Virginia, and they have a daughter, Cora.
